Zach Beattie, L.Ac.
I am a licensed acupuncturist, originally from Arkansas, living and practicing in Austin. I use acupuncture needles, Chinese herbs, dietary changes, and lifestyle modifications to treat the mind, body, and spirit. I focus on integrating traditional and contemporary wisdom to help my clients flourish in our modern world. During our sessions, I hope to provide you with a safe, open environment for exploration of any topic.
In my free time I enjoy practicing martial arts, cooking, and amateur woodworking. I am passionate about self improvement, and am currently doing my best to practice the 4 Agreements. I have a sweet dog, Ellie, who is my constant companion.
I have a Master’s degree from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA). I am a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the NCCAOM, board certified, and licensed in the State of Texas (AC01679). My AOMA training included a rigorous coursework in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and over 1000 hours of clinical experience. During this time, I was also fortunate enough to study Neo-Classical Pulse Diagnosis under Dr. William Morris.
Currently, I am in the slow process of post-graduate studies in canonical Chinese herbal medicine with Dr. Arnaud Versluys.
I am interested in women’s health, pregnancy, and fertility, and plan to pursue advanced studies in those areas in the years to come.
